I have more gun cases than I will ever need at one time - they've somehow accumulated in the attic and top of my closet - those lower-end hard plastic ones and then about 4-5 soft gun cases.
Trying to figure out what I should do when it comes to storing and traveling with my firearms and how many gun cases I truly need on hand. I am thinking two soft cases (shotguns) and maybe two double gun Pelican style cases are all a guy really needs. ....oh, yeah and one double 'tacti-cool' double-gun bag for the 'modern sporting rifles' in my life.
I was almost at a 1:1 gun to case ratio at one point, but it doesn't seem all that practical as I will NEVER travel to a hunt with every single rifle and shotgun at one time that is in the safe.
What say y'all?

Give them away, post here. That's what I did with a collection of various day packs I accumulated.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Best thing I ever did was order a 4 pack box or replaceable foam inserts for my Pelican long gun case. I used the foam insets to custom cut one for each rifle. I store the ones I don’t use in the cardboard box they came in and change them out as needed per the rifle being used. Cheaper and easier to have 5 foam inserts and one hard case than 5 hard cases.
