We are putting my sons 5 yr old setter up for sale.. LJ came from CC kennels. He’s an average wild bird dog but an excellent preserve dog. He’s been hunted from Kansas to Central Texas. He is not registered with the American field but could be, asking $1,000. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/02/full-53539-336203-d16ed63a_2087_4a45_9054_a62cb8ed41e6.jpeg)

Handsome fella. $1000 for a trained bird dog, that could be AF registered.
My neighbor just paid $2500 for some kind of doodle puppy that they didn't have a clue of lineage. Go figure...
Hope he finds a good home.

He’s a great dog, wild bird numbers are super low where we hunt, can’t justify keeping him as I’m not doing put and take guided hunts anymore.

Try to raise one for that price.

catch dog is a quality guy I have one of his dogs now, really wants to be a bird dog but I have not got her into enough wild birds to make a dog out of her, she handles pen raised birds ok but just not enough exposure to wild birds. I would not be afraid of her but do not expect her to be a wild bird dog until she gets experience. It could happen overnight or it could happen with a few wild bird hunts.
Tigger If it isn't white it is not a birddog.
KC Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy. _________________
