I would have never thought it would have worked.

They were all on another property, we had the wind, hit the call and they came to us

For anyone else who hasn’t tried it…

Which call were you using? (As in "feeding", "wounded piglet", "boar grunting", etc.) I've got the Convergent call, but have never seriously used it.

When it was quiet w little wind, maybe 75-100 yards I’d guess

But it absolutely worked.

I have had it work very well and I have watched hogs take off running away when the caller started. As such, when we use it, which we rarely do because of the potential negative impact, we use it as a last resort.

I have a few sounds on my phone. We were walking a thick creek the other weekend that is usually loaded with hogs during the day. My buddies took off one direction and i went about 20 yards from the ranger to the edge of brush and hit the Protection sow call, just on my iphone, the pigs were on me in about 2 minutes. It can be fun when it works! I have some hog sounds on the foxpro we try sometimes too.

I have one and am about 50% on using it. Most awesome time was watching a thundering herd coming running across a wheat field to the caller after it had been on for about 10min. Another time a lease bud and I were sitting in my Pioneer with the call about 30 yds in front of us. I was checking out front with my helmet mounted monocular and just so happened to look directly to the side of us on a road and there was boar about 15ft away just looking at us like "WTF are you guys doing?" I'm a believer, I have the Convergent as well.

!st setup last weekend brought a big sow in to Foxpro playing screaming cottontail.

Somewhat related. I have had the Convergent apps for quite a while. I got a gift certificate to Best Buy not long after so I used it to get a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. Worked great and then….. Convergent got GREEDY. Now they want you to give them another $20 to use your own BT speaker vs. their speaker. Really chaps my you know what. I’m not going to reward that type of business tactic with more of my money.

mostly done some blind calling with an ihunt app and speak. It works for me like people have said about 30% of the time. when it works it is fun. had a coyote run in to some piglet in distress calls, too.

GNTX, Had the same experience with Convergent. I'll bet their ears were burning for a while.

I've used my app and it has never worked. I'll even watch hogs' reactions a few hundred yards away (and I know they can hear it) when I turn it on and, so far, nothing. BTW - coons and deer don't seem to care one way or another when they hear it, even up close.

I bought the convergent also and I havent called a hog in yet. I did see them running the other direction though. I still have hope

Glad I’m not the only one who feels that way. I don’t mind if a company adds new functions and then requests money for that added functionality. But yanking away what you already paid for and putting it behind a paywall is disgusting.

Saw that episode last nigh, DVD’s, you guys had them at your feet.
