Damnit! My wife doesn't like Pho. So I haven't had it in years. I gotta go get some soon.

Love it. Used to go to Pho 79 in Carrollton when I worked near there. The main thing that makes it unique is the star anise they use in the broth for flavoring. But like others have said, making it correctly is labor intensive. Traditionally done by making bone broth from oxtail and staying up all night to continually skim off the stuff that rises to the top.

Wife is Vietnamese. We love Pho. We prefer Pho95 or Pho empire. Also if we are going for some really good Vietnamese authentic meals we go to Tanh Tanh on Arkansas and 360 and get the 7 beefs

Thanks fellas! Soup was great. I was a little heavy handed with the black pepper but that’s how I like it. Definitely hit the spot on a cold day.

The first time I had Pho was on Highway 1 south of Danang. We were guarding a bridge and there was a small village located just west of the bridge. We had used grenades to fish for the villagers and they invited us to dinner. Monsoon was in full swing and it was wet and cold, that hot soup was not only good but a welcome relief from C Rats.

Second time was when we were op conned to an ARVN unit, my counterpart an ARVN Platoon Sgt made a pot of it using somme noodles and cans of pork from the C Rats. He used a few of the little Vietnamese chili peppers.

My mil is Vietnamese and can make excellent pho, but it is a ton of work.

My wife is Vietnamese, and she goes out for it! Pho 95 on Arkansas Ln in Arlington.

We usually go to pho pasteur

Yeah, I like Pho Pasteur a lot better than Pho 95. I haven't had Pho since the pandemic started...doesn't seem like it's been 2 years. Wow. Pho is GREAT on a cold day! I have taken many of our student workers out for pho. I need to start doing that again.

When I have changed jobs I always check out the pho restaurants that are close by. Pho Bac, in Richardson was a favorite, Pho Que Huong in east Plano, and near Love Field now, Pho Chau on Mockingbird. I have gone often enough to the Pho Chau that they know me by name. Husband and wife operation and I have gotten to know the family over the past 5 years. Good people, good food, good service.

Bland chicken noodle soup with a bunch of unusual fresh greens in it. They will bring you a few of those small red peppers if you ask..... that makes it much better

If you're eating bland chicken noodle soup, you're not eating at the right Fuh place. Everyone I've ate at the soup was very flavorful, plus I add bean sprouts and slices of jalapeno.
