Does anyone bend their own square tubing to make legs for deer feeder barrels? If so, how do you bend them without buying a $150 metal bender?

All these legs you buy are normally 1" square tubing. I was wanting to use bigger square tubing.

How would the feeder be stable without angling the legs out?

Do you weld? Cut some pieces at desired angle and weld them on to the tube.

someone on here several years ago posted a picture of using straight short legs but attached at an angle ... like / ... bolted on ... to get a spread for the bottom longer slide on pieces. I thought it was a pretty solid idea.

Buy some 3/4x1/2x1/8 channel iron. Cut 3 pieces 4 foot long. Bend the top 9" about 40 degrees and drill 2 3/8" holes to mount to the barrel. I bent them using acetylene rig.
These "mini legs" will mount to the barrel on the middle flat spot. I added used pump barrels from an oil field supplier that sold them as scrap. None of that hauling them around with 10 foot legs. The actual legs slid on the mini legs. I have even used top rails off of chain link fence for legs. But they are a little weak. Use the center flat spot of the barrel to mount so that the weight is lower in the tripod.

More than one way to skin a cat. Get you a little lincoln wire feed welder, a grinder with some cut off wheels and get after it.
