Went this past weekend out to Ft. Stockton to the LSTO ranch and was able to take a Scimitar Oryx. We hunted all day Saturday and was never able to get them to present a good shot on one. The herd kept bunching up and moving. Chased them till 5 o'clock called a day. Started again Sunday about 8:30 or so and was finally able to them a spot that a clean shot could be had. First shot hit the ground under the Oryx, second shot hit the onside sholder and exited the off side ribs. Took out the lungs and a piece of the heart in the process. Rifle used was a 280 with 150 gr BT at 2940 fps for a 300 yd shot.
