to be pulling them in today. Just enough wind to keep the dekes moving, may not have much open water, and probably some new ducks. How many besides myself would like to be out there today if the season was open?

Hunting in the snow is fun, mallards cupped up over deeks with the snow coming down don't get much better. But I have gotten to the point I do not like hunting when it gets too cold, drops below 20 degrees, especially with a strong wind.

Yup. Snow and ice to the north. Would be hard not to believe today is the best migration day of the winter.

I would have liked to be out, but I have to travel to my hunting spot - typically 60-80miles one way. Hitting ice and wrecking the truck over a few ducks isn't worth it to me. But ya, probably would have killed some birds today thats for sure.
