https://bluebonnetnews.com/2022/02/03/liberty-county-hunters-ink-deal-for-new-tv-show/Looks interesting.. The ink is still drying on a deal signed this week between creators of Dirt Nap Affliction (DNA) and the Pursuit Channel for a 13-part series on predator hunting.
JD Dudley, of Tarkington, one of the founders of Dirt Nap Affliction, said the show will be filmed throughout the United States with some local residents in Liberty County being a part of the series. Fellow co-founder Ray Stearnes of Liberty will also be featured as will Tarkington attorney Donny Haltom, Steven Dryden of Hardin, country music singer Jason Allen of Conroe, \Shawn Doherty and Shane Kessler, both of Louisiana, and Mike and Kayla Melancon of Beaumont. Also expected to make an appearance is Dudley’s friend, Buck Medley, star of Lone Star Legend.

On the one side we have Donald Trump Jr. buying conservation tags for Markor in Pakistan, on the other, we have Billy the mobile tire man dealing Dirt Naps in the woods while recording it with his iPhone.

I absolutely hate the term “dirt nap”. Very sophomoric term for killing an animal. Me too. I guess it helps those frustrated males who have never really challenged themselves to feel more like a hardass using such lingo. As much as I love hunting, there is nothing remarkable about killing a deer or pig. Tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of people do it every year. Stop acting like you faced off with this killer beast in hand to hoof combat, when in actuality you ambushed it from a tree stand while eating a few little Debbie cakes and surfing bikini fishing chicks on Instagram

I think we can all agree that there is very little class left in the world of Hunting Television. I think this is a more fitting observation. It seems to be a race to the bottom. Everyone feels the need to record their kills then act all giddy about it and broadcast it all over social media. I don’t think it should be a spectator sport.
