Went coyote hunting one day last week. Set the Foxpro and MOJO decoy bout 50 yds in front me and started calling. Instantly dang big owl flew down and lit beside the decoy and started pulling on the fuzzy top I stood up and it flew in another tree. Turned sound back on and that sucker flew back again and swooped down and grabbed the fuzzy top in its claws and pulled it off and flew up in another tree and started biting it. Finally realized it wasn't real and dropped it. Was hunting the same spot couple years ago and had a coyote run outs the woods and grab my call. He dropped it quick but I got his butt. Anybody ever have anythang like that happen when calling.

Yeah, I had a great horned owl land on my head. Almost had a yote sitting in my lap. I love it. While deer hunting- had a squirrel jump on my head.

I’ve had owls buzz me at night while calling coyotes, I’m usually in the open at night and have considered wearing a hard hat for this reason.
One morning of calling, I gave up and just sat under the tree and contemplated taking a nap, looked over and caught a coyote sneaking in with eyes trained on the rabbit decoy. I was pistol hunting in some really thick woods and he made it about 5 feet from me before I decided I didn’t want a lap dance from him and shot him. The 22lr locked him up and he just stared at me as he slow monitor fell over dead.

I have not had an owl that I can remember but plenty of hawks come to calls in the daytime. Also had whitetail does come in to the call. Even had javi's come to the call a couple of times.

Had a hawk fly straight at my head once while using a squirrel call. Never saw it myself but had a relative claim a Tom once tried to mount his hen decoy.

There’s an owl at a spot I frequent that buzzes me often. I’ve also had jackrabbits charge me as I’m calling. I’ve got video of each somewhere. If I can find it I’ll post.

I’ve had owls and hawks hit our foxpro. Pretty wild watching it happen.

Not hunting but fishing. Working a 'hula-popper' in some shallow water at Cedar creek, actually right where Mark C has his lake house. A very large barn owl swooped down and grabbed my lure in its talons. I fought him for a minute before he released my lure. Kinda' freaky.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Closest I had (aside from a mouse climbing up on my boot) was an owl that apparently flew into the tree over my head while it was still dark. At dawn, he hooted twice, I screamed, and we both scared each other.

I've had a doe try to get in the back of my truck when using a fawn in distress at night out of a high rack. And I was turkey calling one time and had a coyote damn near jump into my ground blind. Guess I must of sounded like a sick dying turkey

I don't call coyotes but this year when I hit my rattle horns I go attacked by about 20 crows like I was calling them. Don't know what the heck they were thinking.

I had about 30 dang crows show up while playing a ‘chicken in distress’ call, and they were making such a racket that a huge hawk came in and started screeching away trying to run them off. All this racket brought in another dozen crows - and I started to feel like I was in that dang movie ‘birds’. I finally had to turn the call off so the whole circus drifted off. Never seen so many crows in this area!
