We spent most of the afternoon putting that polka dotted pig in the freezer. We really got a bunch of meat off that fellow, and the wife has very firmly forbidden me to bring another one around for possible food use. So, I guess I feed the coyotes from now on. But, if I find a small tender young one….

I'll give my spouse credit. She doesn't want to have any part of the hunting, killing, processing, or anything else related to acquiring hog meat. But, once I get it home she's willing to help trim it up and pack it for the freezer, including grinding a lot of it. It's my job to cook it (except for the ground meat), but she has no qualms about eating it. It probably helps that her folks were farmers and ranchers. Those are terms I can live with. --

My wife loves to shoot pigs. She kills it and I do the rest (after pics of course) except she cooks and eats it too.

Good deal! "Free" protein is the best. Specially if its a young hog or sow. The yotes and buzzards can have the big boars I take out of the food chain.

The wife is cooking Pozole for supper with some of the polka dotted pig. And I’ll be back in the blind maybe tomorrow evening. I put the 260 in the safe and will go after the sounder with the AR. Maybe I can shoot a small one and get the neighbor to slow cook it and we can share it.
The 260 with Ballistic Tips might ruin a small hog, hence the AR with 63 gr Sierra SMP.
