Just a PSA, boss is opening up the books for pre order with the supplies they know they have. It's been stated that next years ammo situation will be the same as this year. So the suggestion is to buy now before it's too late and you're having to ride the struggle bus trying to find ammo for the 22-23 season.

We bought a pallet of 20 gauge (96 cases) we're good for a bit.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Yep, I've heard prices will be going up, there will continue to be a run on ammo and we can continue to expect shortages.

Already bought my (4) cases of 12 for next years ducks. Contemplating on some cases of BB for goose.

Since my sporting clays is down to once/month or so, I'm good for Dover, Quail, and clays for a couple of years. I need to pick up some #6 and #4s ...we got caught flat footed in SD back in November.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

Was at academy this past weekend and they had winchester drylok 12ga 3" for $35 a box. No thanks
Id be suprised if we can find shells for less than $25 a box next fall.
Well see what lead cost, that may significantly impact my clay shooting this offseason.

Mid Range Cremator Choke Hevi shot is junk, and there's all kinds of facts to back that up I will agree with you that "Heavy Metal" is not what they hype it up to be. True "Hevi-Shot" is a very good shell. They say its heavier than lead so my guess is they are using something similar to ITX13. However, i will argue that any of these bismuth/lead products should be chokeed imp mod/full with a standard constriction choke and not a wad stripping choke similar to pattern master.

The 20 gauge is all I use, and we mainly hunt geese and crane. I smoked a greater Canada on the lazy day of season at 30 or so yards I run the Carlson's bismuth extended range choke.

A denser pattern and better long range knockdown I suppose Boss shells do a fine job of killing based on reports on this forum, but so does steel and you or anyone else isn't going to change my mind on that front. I've seen a lot of birds drop from steel. I've heard all the arguments before so no need to bring them up here. I like that Boss is trying to better the game and a once little guy / start up is making a way in a very competitive market. Its good for all of us in a way. Does anyone have experience with Apex they would like to share?
