I'm wanting a good, light 22 semi auto. Which should I go with? I love the trigger on the Taurus but have had crap luck with with their firearms. On the other hand I've had great luck with Glock firearms. What say the experts?

Read a whole lot of good about the Taurus.
That being said I would probably go for the 22/45 lite or a sr22

TX22 Comp I have a TX22C setup with a Burris Fastfire I need to go shoot. Won the pistol in a raffle and had the Fastfire laying around.

First Taurus I've ever owned is a TX22. Very nice pistol , light weight, 16 round mag, very accurate and fun to shoot. I'm happy with mine.

For a fart around gun, I might try a Taurus if you like the trigger. For something you may depend on to save your life one day? No way no how.

https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/8513215/re-glock-model-44#Post8513215I just posted this recently. Check it out. The last two days I had it at the lease, wore it all weekend while doing everything, riding the ranger, filling feeders, laying on the ground prone while hog hunting, etc. Very dusty up there and by plan it was covered in it. I probably put 150 rounds through it, three different types of ammo and it didn't have a single issue. Accuracy is great, I'm getting better with it and it's a lot of fun to shoot. That's a 8" plate leaning up against the bottom of the tree. I need a smaller plate.

Personally, I'd go with the Glock. But I've also heard great things about the Walther P22 Q... I'd definitely like to try each of them. https://waltherarms.com/p22-q/

I have about 13 years out of one Glock, a Model 22 Gen. 3. I like the similarity of the 44. Grip, sight picture, ease of cleaning, etc.. This is what I shot through it this weekend. I have a farm store I've found on the way to the Panhandle that is an ammo gold mine. Bought a box of 50 of the Aguila, and on the way home stopped again and bought a pile of it.

I've also heard great things about the Walther P22 Q My buddy brought a P22 last time we met at my place. It ran flawlessly and I couldn't miss with that thing. For a fart around gun, I might try a Taurus if you like the trigger. For something you may depend on to save your life one day? No way no how. Me too

I had a couple of TX22s, no complaints, except for the, IMO, poorly thought out sights... As part of an attempt at down-sizing, I sold both, but still have three Glock 44s. Since most of my center-fire pistols are Glocks, the 44 is the better choice for me.

The TX22 is a better gun that the Glock, have to shoot both side by side to tell. I can't get mine to jam, and the trigger is much nicer than the G44. G44 isn't a bad gun at all, but Taurus did a better job with the TX.

Alright let's do this! I think Ox19 is close to me, we meet at a local range and go through an equal count of the same ammo. Get a total of FTF & FTE. Accuracy, we need an unbiased volunteer to shoot them both after we burn up about 500 rounds on the function test. I know a guy. He's not my BIL, he's everybody's.
