It's slow... I found a Cherry, near mint Remington 788 in 7-08 for $400 FIL convinced me it was trash, I passed on it I should have bought it But I sold a super nice Ruger M44 rifle on here too that I wish I had back, super hard to find

I have no regrets on stuff I’ve sold but have missed a few deals I pondered on to long. I need a left hand action, just can't decide if my daughter is old enough for a special rifle.

I think the next biggest regret will involve ammo or components...
Remember when 22-250 was $25 a box...

I have a couple of regrets of buying guns that I bought because I thought I might regret passing on it. I did pass on a deal for an AR pistol and I still don't regret that.

I really only regret selling two:
Ruger m77 MKII stainless in 300 WM with the boat paddle stock
Norinco 1897 copy
I swap guns all the time, and I’ve definitely had nicer ones, but those I should have kept.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I only regret selling my Arsenal SGL21 and Saiga 12. Thanks to Obama they are no longer coming in.
I dont regret, but Im sure the buyers regret, the 5.45x39 guns I sold. Sold my custom AK for $7k and the other AR was a load of $ because I included a few cans of ammo that were starting to dry up.

I regret not buying a safe until after I was robbed of my childhood firearms. I sure miss that original high gloss 870 Wingmaster and my favorite Nylon 66 Santa gave me.
One shot is all it should take.

Only one regret selling -- a Win 94 22 mag that I sold last year. Wish I wouldn't have done that. At the time, I was of the mindset that I didn't ever shoot it and it was taking up space, but I undervalued the sentimental aspect of that rifle.
Plenty of regrets on buying/not buying, both ammo and guns

Doesn't this topic come up every single year about this time? My RAGRETS are the same as they were last year. A 788 in .243 that I sold when I was going through my divorce. I didn't really ever shoot it at the time, and like TLew, I underestimated the sentimental value. Also, a T/C .45 Hawken that I didn't shoot much and also underestimated the sentimental value of that one as well. If I could have either one back, I'd pay WAY more than they were worth just to get the chance to have them back.

Judd would still be squirming Why am I not surprised? Y'all act like it was made to swim in but unfortunately it was put there to keep the Okies out...clearly they have evolved and learned how to wade across Edit - to the OP, not yet but I just sold my last dasher and it's very likely I'll miss it at some point in the future. Good news is, I can build another.

Never sold one and have yet to regret buying one either.
My only regret is letting a co-worker borrow one so he could teach his son to shoot. The kid later sold it, probably for drug money. While it was just a cheap .22, it was the first and last firearm I've let anyone borrow. I suspect there are quite a few others who regret letting one of their firearms leave their sight.

In 1987 I sold an HK 94 because I was being deployed to Germany and didn't want to store it. Who knew that 6 years later these would be going for stupid money.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I regret not picking up any of the Chinese AK's back in the 90's when they were cheap. Along with the cases of 7.62x39 that were $100. The Norinco and Polytech AK's go for crazy money now. You are looking at $3-4K for them mint in the box now! Shooters are still going for close to $3K. HK rifles as well like the 91's. Man I love those rifles!

Interesting.... My biggest gun regret was selling a Rem 788 in .243 as well. Bought it from my brother who had glassed and bedded it, and tuned the trigger beautifully. Very nice shooting gun. One of my hunting buddies brow beat me into selling it to him for his kid's to use. Regretted the sale before he had finished backing out of the driveway. Now that I've got grand-nieces and nephews, and (hopefully) grandkids to introduce into hunting, I especially regret that decision. I've got another .243 in the safe, and it shoots OK, but lost the history, legacy and stories tied to that gun that should have been passed down.
