What about the dashed line? That has to be considered also. It is more than adding a dot by the rows. How many dots above the line vs below, and the direction of the line?

So, you guys are correct according to the sample I have, but not for the reason you mentioned.

There is a diagonal on each corner is the only thing that I see.

Here is how I see it.
The lines in the nine blocks seem to rotate clockwise with each iteration. The “denominator” stays the same, where the “numerator” (my term to attempt to be clear) seem to pick up a dot each time.
So, for the top row, block 1 has 1 numerator, on denominator. Next block rotated clockwise 45 degrees, and added one dot to the numerator. The third block should therefore have a line top left to bottom right, three dots in the numerator, one dot in the denominator.
This is the same pattern as for the rows two and three. If I’m right, there IS NO correct answer.

The only thing I don’t like about that middle far right choice is the #dot imbalance across the dashed line. Every square on the left has #dots either equal or within 1 compared to the other side across the dashed line. The middle far right’s dot mismatch doesn’t fit that trend (3 - 1 = +2).

No matter which one I guess I would have to correct it several times before I got it right...

None. I agree with MeanGreen....It should have a diagonal line with 2 dots above and 2 dots below, to fit the exact pattern. The answer key is wrong.

Every diagonal line in the puzzle has equal number of dots on each side of the line. That answer doesn’t exist in the answer key.

A chess player would look ahead to see what move that creates. Several possibilities.

It looks more like an aptitude or IQ test anyways - a logic test would be more like whether to take a "vaccine" jab or whether to vote for pro-Americans or anti-Americans in 2022...
