Reports on how the Colleyville synagogue hostage-taker was killed were not announced. Most assumed it was from the FBI shooting him and not him shooting himself. It was confirmed that the FBI got him. This is is via the Dallas Morning News:

The armed man who took four people hostage at a Colleyville synagogue on Saturday was killed by multiple gunshot wounds after an FBI team raided the building, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.

Police previously have not said whether Malik Faisal Akram, 44, was killed by law enforcement, or whether he died by suicide shortly after the hostages escaped out of a side door at Congregation Beth Israel, ending the 11-hour standoff. None of the hostages were injured.

Akram died at 9:22 p.m. from multiple gunshot wounds, and the medical examiner lists his death as a homicide.

It’s not clear how many times or where Akram was shot; his full autopsy report was not available Friday afternoon.

It’s also not clear how many officers fired their weapons. The FBI is expected to hold a news conference Friday.

That’s thinking like a normal person. Someone with the goal of martyrdom has a different if not warped value system.

To be determined

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

Where did he get the gun from? News is reporting that they have accounted for everyone he made contact with once he came to Texas but no one is saying who provided the gun to him.

I'd say it is not all that difficult to purchase a gun and in fact probably much easier to do illegally than legally.
Finding a gun to buy on the street doesn't take much effort.

Agreed!

I was just curious to what the authorities found out on where he actually got it.
