I'll know in time. I recently bought an Athlon Helios BTR 2-12X42. Out of the box, it's impressive but I haven't made it to the range with it yet. It's a very compact scope, and to me, it has a great power range for hunting. It's a bit of a unicorn in power range, features, weight, size. It has locking turrets, 32 Mils of elevation, illumination and a nice reticle. It has a lot for $500.

The Cronus series are quite good. Have not been that impressed with lower end stuff they make.

Dude, this seems like a GREAT hunting scope. I really like 2.5-10 so this seems like the next level awesome. I will certainly keep this model on my mind.

I had 2 of the Midas TAC’s, (still have 1), very good scopes for the money and really like the MOA reticle with the dot center.

I have the 2.5-15 ares btr ffp and have been very pleased with it. Positive clicks, clear glass and tracks great. Dropped it from 20ft by accident last season and nothing broke and scope was still at same poi. I use it on my tikka 270.

I have an Athlon Midas 2.5-15 on a rifle. I like it fine, though I haven’t had it a year yet. Good glass and good illumination.

The magnification is hard to change, both scopes are extremely tight, that I own.

I have an Ares G2 UHD 15-45×65 spotting scope. This is the first spotter I've ever had and wasn't convinced that I'd like carrying and using it. Turns out I like it.
