In most ranges I think I read 15 to 1. Meaning 15 rabbits utilized same feed as one cow.

Id just be weary of a predation shift

Then manage the predator problem at the same time.

Kind of like culling bucks to create an influence in genetics … sounds like an easy practice…

In reality it seldom happens to the extent that matters. Calling totes even 10 times a year is a joke. If you aren’t running a trap line 12 months a year and helo atleast 2x a year, what are you actually doing.

Yeah well we've had that going around up here for last coupe of years, still a lot of rabbits.
Found a few dead ones but we still have tons of jacks and cottontails.

BOBO is right on the predators.

Here in SW, OK, there hasn't been any jackrabbits for 20 years or more. Biologists blamed Rabbit Hemorrhagic disease. The funny thing is there's always been plenty of cottontails. . This must be a new strain that's evolved.

We had jackrabbit on one part of the lease 12 years ago but haven't seen them since.
