Anyone use one? I’m tired of my wife’s keureg and was thinking about getting one of these. We have a gas stove so it should work well. Never had percolated coffee other than on a camp fire with a buddy years ago.

We have one, I actually prefer just boiling coffee in a pot over the percolator. At home I use Keurig out of convenience, but at the ranch boil water once it’s rolling toss in my grounds/stir. Let it go for about 5 mins rolling boil then it’s done. Just pour slowly so majority of grounds get caught in pot.

We have about a dozen or so, my mom used to collect them. We use them at the house on occasion and camping. Used one last Feb during the 4 day power outage, good to keep one around for that.

Highly recommend the electric percolator.
Used the stove top for years, then the keureg for years more.

My east texas camper hunting blind has a vintage art deco beehive percolator that makes great coffee on the gas stove. At my other lease I use an electric tea kettle water boiler and folgers coffee singles. We use a keureg at home, but I will admit the percolator in the camper stand makes the best coffee of all.

Only way to go when I was growing up. Beats sock coffee.

I love percolated coffee but never thought about doing It in the house. I will not though!

I take a percolator when we go to the river in the summer, something about listening to coffee come together while you listen to the river rolling by is nice in the morning.

I've got a good old aluminum percolator in my chuck wagon, think its 20 cups. It makes pretty good coffee but if you're not paying attention and boil it or percolate it too long it'll come out bitter and chewy towards the end. No big deal and nothing a shot of bourbon won't fix. Its great for camping use.

At the house I switched to an insulated French Press like this one a while back. Works great and real happy with my coffee. I also have a Keurig to use if I'm in a hurry or just need one cup.

I love cowboy coffee, and keep a large kettle in my kitchen. Boil water, toss in coffee & boil for 4-5 minutes, turn heat to low for a bit then add 1 cup of cold water. The cold water helps the grounds to settle faster. Good smooth coffee, and boiling removes some of the acid which is nice when you have acid reflux.

I use mine in the RV all the time; fix it the night before, and start it in the morning . Get back in bed under the covers. The open flame of the stove warms up the coach, and I can listen to it and know when its done.

At home its the Cuisinart 10 cup insulated carafe, and if the son in law is there, we switch to the glass 12-cup 'cause we drink so much that it never gets cold.

I use one from time to time, but usually only when I have time to wait. I have a Keurig at home, and both a coffee maker and a percolator at ranch. Perc takes longer, so I don't always have the patience or time to wait.

I also have one of those stainless mesh coffee drippers. It actually works very well, if you are just making a cup or two at a time. I will usually drink several cups, so although it works, just not fast enough.
