It's easy to scoff at people who are paying those prices when you have a few thousand primers sitting in your closet. Once you run out, those prices may not look quite that bad. I'm hoping prices come down before I run out, but at this pace, I am becoming doubtful.

My bet is this is the price of primers from now on.

I hope I am wrong, but I bet I am not.

Instead of $0.035 worth of primer in a loaded round, it's $0.13. Add in brass, powder, primer, bullet and the primer is still the second cheapest part (after powder). And as we all know, without the starter, you have no engine.

Yep. All the primers that I have on my shelf were bought between 3 and 5 cents. When I bought them, I thought I had a lot. I wish I had bought a whole truckload.

I'll wear the sign too. Started reloading for rifle about about 18mos too late. It's that darn law of supply and demand. People always wanting what they don't have- guns, food, toilet paper.... Hopefully demand/price drops over the next couple of years.

Anyone that is going to hold out for $35/1000 primers to come back, is probably going to go without.

I am stocked up for me.
I am not stocked up for the number of people I will load for in the next untold number of decades.
