Just finished this one. The Brisket Assassin. 12 inches overall with a 7 inch blade. Blade is high carbon 1084 steel that's been heat treated and tempered to HRC 59. Handle material is some highly figured Mesquite Burl and the pins are 3/16 diameter solid copper that have been peened to result in a mechanical fastener. White liners under the scales. Our church is having another fish fry and auction for a fund raiser for the building fund for new Sunday school classes so I may just donate it to the auction. If not I'll sell it and donate the funds to the building fund.

Nice brisket knife, needs longer blade though, about 10 inches or so.

Just my .02,

Good job bro. Love the scales. Seems every year we knife makers make more and more giveaway knives. And how can we turn down some of those when you hear the of the situations? But then again, that's why God blessed us with this talent.

Good going brother.

I've picked up burls for years on leases in the panhandle. I throw away a whole lot more than I use. A lot depends on how you cut it too.
