No the gas monkey guy is Richard Rawlings. Henry Rollins would wreck that guy in about 2 seconds
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I've been working out for 30 years since I was 14. One thing I've learned is that if you don't have the motivation or knowledge, which most people don't, get involved in a class, group, or get a workout buddy. Even as long as I have been doing it, when I'm in a slump, the one thing that works is having other people around. Whether it's my workout buddy in my personal shop/gym, or kickboxing,, or just going back to the gym, having someone expecting you to show up works. It doesn't have to be extreme, find a water aerobics class. Anything to stay active!

No way I’d have done that if the coaches weren’t there pushing me. For the first year, if I was absent for a week, they called to see where I was. Now it’s a part of my routine. It’s the days that you go when you don’t want to that make the difference.

I’m 79 and have started working out. I’m retired. But, in a limited way. I spent 25 days in ICU (busted colon) last August and then sent home. Doc told me to be damn careful not to bust anything loose. Don’t exert yourself for 90 days. I had lost about 35 pounds. The 90 days ended about 2 weeks ago and I got started getting my strength back. I’m spending a lot of time with light leg/foot weights but with a lot of reps every day. Also walking a mile per day. Doing a hundred leg lifts with weights attached while sitting in a recliner. Squeezing the springs about 5 times per day with about 50 reps per time.
I was doing a lot of lifting of 5 pound weights. Then a couple of days I heard a pop in my left shoulder. No more of that. I’ve had surgery on that shoulder twice about 10 to 15 years ago.
My strength is coming back fairy quickly. However, I can’t figure out why one day I can walk a mile at high speed and a couple of days later drag myself a 1/4 mile.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley, Rancher Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP

A good pre-workout supplement will make a huge difference. I was using several and it made a huge difference. Mai ly used pre-caged and also a creatine. Going to workout without them always sucked. Find a supplement that works well with tou and it will change how you feel about working out and how much you can do in the gym.

ive been working out 4-5 times a week daily for the past few years. Im at the point when I dont go to the gym I feel weak and all I want to do is get back there. It becomes a point when you do it regularly, its not if I go to the gym today its what time im going. Also it takes 90 days to create a habit. And trust me those 90 days are the toughest part. After that its a part of your life.

I am 68 and been running for 42 years - have had the same running buddy for the last 38 of those years. For me running is easiest and fastest way to stay in shape - the key has been the running partner though since it keeps you accountable - on the mornings I do not feel like running I know he will be there so I get up and go - on top of that we talk then entire hour that we run so it goes by fast I am 66 years old and have been running for 35-36 years but I have always run by myself. Sure does get boring sometimes but I do it anyway. What I have always liked about running is that I can walk out the door and do my exercise.
