We wrapped and stacked 2 ozarka 5 gallon bottles worth for our honeymoon. It worked out and we just drank beer watching TV in the evenings.

Some grocery stores have Coin Star machines but I think their take is around 10%.

Last time I popped into one a year or two ago, they’d jumped up to 14%

That’s what we do when it starts to pile up in the drawer. The kids make a guess before hand and whoever is closest gets $5 off the top. I hate paying the rake but it’s fast and easy

My credit union has a sorter. Just dump in your change and it deposits.

Last time I had a bunch of loose change I took it to Loves. They need coins and don't take a cut like Coinstar machines. Most banks quit taking loose change years ago.

My small town bank has a machine to dump it in. I saw this a few weeks ago. No sorting, plugging paper tubes, etc. Just pour it in.

Go through the dates on it all and make sure your not getting rid of silver or copper. Older pennies are actually worth more for their copper value than face value thanks to all the printing of money.

Still 10% in my area, or you can get gift card for same value at WalMarts

My bank here will not take rolls. They said people were somehow putting whatever coins it might be, on the outside of the roll and then stuffing weights or something in the middle! Wow what some people will do!!!!!

Never have much. Debit card most times.

Never worry about it. I have a small bowl on the table and grab a bit when I leave the house. I just keep it spent.

There are a couple of stores in this area that do full value gift certificates instead of taking a 10% cut. One of the choices was Lowes, which we already frequent. When getting ready to move last year, we made several trips to the coinstar machines and netted over $300

We all need to practice Whoa more.

If you convert to a gift card, there is no fee. I usually get a Cabela’s gift card.
