Well velocity is approximately 2000 fps so a little high for this pistol bullet design. These bullets came from an old paper box and have the light grey corrosion on the exposed lead. That said they have shot very well for me and I have easily gotten them to feed reliably in my AR upper. At any rate thinking they might come apart I decided to test them in gallon water jugs at 50 yards. Blew up the first two drilled the third and got hung in the far side of the fourth jug. Not bad at all. I would certainly use this bullet on hogs or deer. Bullet expanded to .675
