Deanie's in Metairie is a dump, the one in the Quarter is much nicer. They have THE best BBQ Shrimp in the city. All their fried food is average.

Hopedale didn't list Mother's, it's an awesome lunch spot to eat at on your way to the WWII museum.

I ate at the one in the quarter both times. Mother's does make some fine sandwiches.

We had lunch in an out of the way place called Castnet Seafood. Highly recommend!

For the best seafood cruise the canal roads in Kenner, out by the airport. Just look for a little Morgan building with a "Seafood" sign out front. I love New Orleans on St. Patrick's Day. It's like a mini Mardi Gras without all the tourists.

One of my favorite places is like that in Kenner. I’ve been going there since about 1990. It’s really good and packed with locals. We’ve gone a number of times this trip. Our last vacay dinner tomorrow night will be here.

Love the pic of you and Mrs Oxner at Pat O’Briens. Your daughter looks so much like her.
