Win 94AE .45 Colt Saddle Ring Carbine. Sent to Regan Nonneman in 2013 to shorten barrel to re-cut the chamber. Winchester 94 .45 Colts are known to have sloppy chambers and this one was very sloppy. Regan Nonneman (Nonneman Custom Rifles) is the gold standard for lever action work but he's slow with a backlog measured in years, not months. He did a great job and also covered the ugly cross bolt safety hole. The set back barrel is about 18-3/4" long. I do not care for the modern rebounding hammer actions so I bought a halfcock parts set from Ebay in 2012. These older action parts sets are getting impossible to find. I swapped the parts after the rifle came back from Nonneman in, I think, 2015. The rifle has ran great for years now but I don't shoot it anymore. Had a double feed issue last year and replaced the carrier spring. I pulled it out of the safe and sent several Barnes VOR-TX 200 gr XPB Hollowpoints downrange off my porch this morning and almost backed out of selling it. But my eyes are not good for iron sight hunting anymore and I have better options for scoped rifle hunting. The original rebounding hammer parts will come with the rifle, but the halfcock actions have a much better trigger pull. The rifle has a skinner peep sight and a fiber optic front sight. The front sight was installed while it was at Nonneman custom rifles. It has a decelerator recoil pad. $1,300 The only trade or partial trade would be a 1911 Dan Wesson or maybe another 1911 in this price range. I prefer an aluminum frame commander length. I can add cash for the right 1911. I know it may take some time to sell or trade this specialty item. I can meet in Blue Mound/North Fort Worth weekdays around mid-day or evenings and weekends in Wise County. Thanks for posting my pics GasGuzzler, I wasn't paying attention or I would have posted them on a bump post.
I appreciate everyone's comments. You are correct shadowman, this thing would be a thumper at 30'.

I have this same gun, factory stock except it has a red dot. I use it much like a bow in terms of hunting distance. I’ve killed doe, pigs and coyotes up close and personal. I also carry my Ruger Bisley .45 when I hunt with this one, shoots and cycles great. Someone needs to jump on this one.

I've been asked what I have against Kimber 1911's. Actually, I have no real negative opinions regarding Kimber 1911's.
It's just that, for my taste and purposes, they are generally not "finished out and complete". For example, many do not have a trigger pull that I prefer, most do not have a checkered front strap, many have a fiber optic front sight that I do not consider reliable for a carry pistol and many are not 100% reliable in feeding and ejecting.
The exact same can be said of many brands of 1911's. But if I need to send a handgun to Wilson or Cylinder&Slide, etc to get it like I want it, why start with a Kimber price and then pay for custom work? These days it makes more sense, to me at least, to get a Dan Wesson, Ed Brown, Wilson Combat or Les Baer that is already finished out. I'm sure I have inadvertently left some nice pistols off that list. This is simply my opinion, your mileage may vary.
God is so good to me.
