I'm building a new box stand. I'm contemplating on using plastic sheets vs plywood to skin it out. Do you think the plastic will be a lot hotter during early season vs plywood sides?

Most plastice blinds are hotter than wood ones even in the winter. The plastic blinds I have used also deteriorated quicker over the years.

Use hardie cement fiber panel. Paint it and you are done. A little expensive but well worth it. I drill a couple of holes in one of my walls at the top and cover with vent for ventilation.

I have a quad pod that was "tarp covered" when I bought it. The following year I ditched the tarp and covered it with vinyl siding from Lowes. been like that for about 8 years now.

Not sure what plastic blinds you use but I have Maverick blinds out for the last 10 years and look like the day I put them out there. Maverick's are made via rotomold so they are designed to be outside.

plastic will be hot when its hot and cold when its cold. Wood is a better insulator, or ya could glue 1/2" foam to the inside of the plastic.
Would keep it quiet too

Only concern with hardie would be ever moving it. I’ve built well covers with it and as long as it’s stationary and not moved much it’s great but it can be brittle. Also heavy.
