I am outfitting an older winch up barrel feeder with a new timer-feeder.

The problem is, although a little on the small side, the pen is set and established. I do not want to mess with adding another 3-4 panels to keep the corn inside the pen, hence the 6v. I have been out of the 6volt game for a long time now.

Anybody have a good one they'd recommend? I know years ago before I got a stand and fill feeder with a 12v and "The Timer," I was using "On-Time". Looks like their quality has gone down over the years.

Any help would be appreciated!!

This one is still going strong after almost 9 years. Wish I could still find this Moultrie unit. I have a newer Moultrie unit that replaced this older style but only time will tell.

There are some 12’s and you can get a timer with low, med, high. Not sure how far the throw

My go to 6 was spincast.. they may require a bigger hole

I used "Texas Hunter Products" feeder kits, ran some for 10+ years.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I've had similar results with the moultrie. I like the concept of the newer model with the quick lock adapter (twist motor on/off) so you can change motor quickly. we'll see how they last?

I picked one of the new ones up as well. Going to see how well it does.

'Found one of these on the place when I bought it. I had to replace the motor, but the dang timer keeps working (with a new battery, of course). You can find the same cheapo timer with many different private labels on them. I'm sure they're made in China, but this one has kept working. I use it for one of the pig traps.

Which one’s are you using stx?

I remember when I was 12~13, I worked all summer to buy a spin cast. Unfortunately, a flood got it. May go this route again.
