Middle of Dec. wife and I both we had Covid, get tested and test said we didn’t have Covid, but had the flu. We both thought we were going to die. We are still trying to recover and its been almost a month. Wife thinks we had Covid, I don’t know other than we were both damn sick. I was worried about my wife, she’s a tough Southeast Texas Jefferson County girl and she was so sick she could barely raise her head for about 5 days. She was finally able to get up and drive to the grocery store yesterday, last time she drove was about Dec 13 th.

I’m getting a flu shot and shingles shot. I’m on the fence getting anymore Covid boosters. The way the virus changes not sure the boosters will be able to keep up. From what I understand the Covid shot and or boosters are only good for about 6 mo., but who knows.

Shots may not be for everybody, but after this flu go round I’m going to get current and take better care of myself. Got to run, have to fix me another whisky drank!!!!!

Don’t get the flu shot and shingles shot at the same time. Wife and I did that a couple years ago, it was rough.

Let me tell you...the "Beast" comes out at night. The only good thing is that my wife and daughter escaped it. We are all three now fully vaccinated and have our boosters. I got my Shingles shot and Moderna booster at the same time.. No side effects other than the arm stayed sore longer than before but that may have been the Shingles shot? I feel that, given my health conditions, the downside of not being immunized is far greater than any risk of the vaccine plus I can not risk passing it on to immune comprised members of my family.
Now the "kicker"... my single parent son was one of the lucky young people who had heart attack symptoms after taking his first dose. We were in Ft. Worth when the phone call from my daughter came. " John is in an ambulance on his way to Amarillo. He is having a heart attack!" He dodged the bullet. Never know how much damage but did he continue his vaccinations? Have my grandchildren been vaccinated? How many of his friends passed on the jab because of his experience? Questions I do not ask and judgments that I do not make. Easy to judge until it becomes personal.

So, you believe taking the vaccine will prevent you from spreading the virus?

Even now… after all the evidence. Some people can’t be helped. Aeb sounds like he is in an at risk group. Go ahead and get it, but don’t delude yourself into thinking you are keeping anyone else safe by doing so. All this “I got the vaccine to protect others” is the most reckless virtue signaling ever, with possibly deadly consequences.

Almost my entire staff got COVID in the last 3 weeks. Many vaccinated, some boosted, some with previous COVID, one with previous COVID plus vax. IMO, the Omicron is not prevented in any way by the vaccines or prior COVID antibodies.

My point is that I will do alI that I can to prevent putting myself in the position of bringing the virus home to my loved ones. Puzzling that that is controversial. One death in the family is enough. If you took time to read my entire post, you would learn that I do understand others position and as a result, certainly do not judge. Allow me the same courtesy.

The vast majority of the actual experts I have read agree that natural immunity is better than what you get from these "vaccines". Neither are 100% and neither are permanent.

I know a dozen or more people that have had 2 or 3 shots that still ended up sick as hell. One good friend was hospitalized. Most everyone reported being sick after the 1st and/or 2nd shot.

But you’re doing the same as doing nothing. The shots stop nothing. Why don’t you get that?

Everyone's symptoms were pretty minor....worst was headaches, sore throat, tiredness and body aches, very minor fever....similar to flu. But overall most just had runny nose, congestion, and tired.

Omicron is a super variant. Nothing can stop it. Luckily, it's about like the flu for most folks. Just have to let it run its course. I'm more worried about original and Delta Covid.

Notice how when a new variant is discovered, no one ever tests positive for previous versions???

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to

I'm in day #4 and I have experienced headaches, runny nose, congestion, fever, sore throat and being tired.....about like the common flu.
