Got a weird buck picture? Here's one of my weirdest. It was actually taken in 2016. I had my camera's date set wrong. [Linked Image]

Three pointer.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I would have if I'd ever seen him with a gun in my hand. He only showed at night. I've been trying to figure out how long that spike is. Longer than any I've seen before.

Even though one side was not forked (less than 1")...I would not shoot him anyway, due to the fact I know what he looked like before this.

Had this first one on camera back in 2017 and no one on the place could ever lay eyes (or a scope) on him during the daylight.
The second one is one I shot outside of Ozona back in 2014. Other than a small browtine, he had a perfectly slick main beam. My dad shot one that was very similar to him on the same ranch a couple of years later.

I took this deer out of the gene pool a few years ago. Very much a wierdo deer - he was as goofy acting as he was goofy looking. He thought he was quote the Casanova with the ladies though... although they didn't agree. His bases were nearly touching. The area between the bases was scabbed over - I guess from rubbing off the velvet.

Different species, but still weird.
He has looked this way for the last two years.
I'm trying to get him with my bow, but he is a smart one!

We called this one "Limpy Lopsided". He was missing his right rear foot. My son took him out during youth season a few years back.
