That is what I was thinking this morning during my PT for my shoulder. Was in New Braunfels and the skillet shot came to mind when I looked out the window. Probably 20 or so birds within easy gun range but inside the city limits.

I have one collared dove that is a regular at my feeder. I haven't seen a single mourning dove or white wing up here in a few weeks. Hope you have some luck.

Yeah It sucked bad. My boy starting to think I’m a pretty terrible guide lol.

I took a fellow out dove hunting and he was having trouble hitting them on the wing...

I checked in with him at the end of the hunt and he was very happy with his limit of dove...

I asked him how he managed to overcome his early problem when he was missing the birds...

Turns out, he just waited for the dove to light into a nearby dead tree before shooting...

Did that with one of my boys once so he could hit something before he ran out of shells.
