OK, old dog here, learning new tricks. We have a really nice air fryer, but it stayed in the cupboard most of the time. After reading so many posts supporting them, I cleaned and put away the toaster and moved the air fryer to its place of honor on the counter. Holy crap, I bet have used it 30 times this week!!Toast is great, warmed up zucchini bread, blueberry muffins, poppers, cheese sticks, crostini snacks, chicken wing, and fries so far! Definitely learning new tricks.

We use ours every day. I've even made a casserole in it.

Okay now I have to get us one, sounds like the great way to reheat a lot of leftovers and cook other things!

With the air fryer I eat things I would never eat growing up, like brussel sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower. Each were lightly oiled with olive oil and seasoned.
My wife has cooked quite a lot with it in the few weeks we've had it.

I’ve been debating on getting one. What brand and books do y’all use?

I’ve heard people say it’s just a connection oven. True?? We don’t own one, but I noticed the other day our Microwave has a convection setting.

We use it a lot for leftovers. It’s the only way we’ve found to reheat leftovers to nearly their original taste and texture. It’s the only way to re-heat French fries for sure.

I’ve been debating on getting one. What brand and books do y’all use? My son has and likes the Ninja Foodie. We got a Cuisanart TOA 60 I guess because of the looks. It is going to live on the kitchen counter and I think the Ninja looks like a 1965 hair dryer or vacuum cleaner. If I'm going to have to look at it the Cuisanart just fit in with the other appliances.

Is there a difference between an air fryer and a convection oven?

Not much difference, except for size. Air fryer has the heating elements on top, and the fan blows more airflow around the food. More concentrated heat cooks a little faster.
Generally, the convection oven heats from the bottom, or both top and bottom. Fan is normally on the back of the oven, and is lower airflow and quieter.
