Every rifle you have seen of mine is 2b

What is your goal?

Your new short one a 2b? I ask because I think by my calculations, 17” you could get and still have adequate shoulder. I need another short saum wink

My 21” is 2b

My new 16” is 3

I don’t have calipers, but if I remember right a 2b can make 5/8 with a good shoulder at about 16-16.5

The 3 can get to around 20”

I'm gonna replace a factory sporter with either a 2 or a 2b. It'll be finished with a recessed crown at 24". No threads. I know somebody has some pics.

Thanks Patsy. Those look heavier than I remembered, which isn't a bad thing. Was your 6 Creed a 2b? If I had your old 6mm Creed chambered in anything 7mm, I'd never build another rifle.

6 creed was a light Palma 23”. It felt heavy to me

When I did my researching , 2b was the way to go and I believe still is if you don’t need 5/8 threads with any length. 2b is just right imo

Yeah, I liked that one. You've had some sweet rigs over the years. I might just nut up and get a Bartlein carbon and start from scratch. Never know about ol' Jerms.
