Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or Both?

Christmas Day this year for the first time ever. Always did the Christmas Eve thing till this year. Things change when kids and grandkids grow up.

Christmas day! Thats when the Chinese buffet has the cheese cake out! The good New York style not some cheap stuff. I don't do holidays and they are open so past few years that has been my go to place. 
Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock!

Never had a Christmas Dunner
BUT
Christmas Eve, I'm buying a tamale dinner from a sweet lady in Lewisville who hand makes them. Tamales, refried beans, rice, Pico, salsa, flour tortillas. etc. This will be at My GF's kids house after church. Go home and watch It's a Wonderful Life and Christmas Vacation.
Christmas Morning The EX and my daughter are coming over for presents and her famous Christmas Morning Egg Casserole
Christmas Evening, Honey baked ham with all the stuff at My girlfriends' kids and grandkids house
Christmas night open presents at my Girlfriends house.
PASS OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both, two different families. I always have a great Prime Rib dinner Christmas Eve, then Christmas Day I have to eat with the Psych Ward family I married into, that dinner is consistently strange and random.

Grill a rack of lamb Christmas Eve, then stick a ham in the oven for Christmas day. My wife always makes some fancy dessert that I'm sure we will eat all weekend.

Snacks with the wife's family around 10 am Christmas day then back home and suppper that evening. Chicken and dresssing,ham, and crawfish rice stuffed chicken and some kind of pie. Son and grand daughter will be here on the 27th so looking forward to that. Then peepaw will be making super dupety chocolatey malts with big marshmallows.

Got the whole mob coming to the ranch, which is 10 or 12 folks. Thank goodness one SIL is bringing his RV or it was gonna be real tight on sleeping arrangements. The wife has a huge turkey she’ll air fry, and a giant ham. Others are bringing their favorite side dishes. I was hoping for some cold weather so I could put the big fire pit to work, but that looks unlikely.
All in all, it should be fun if we don’t have any drama. Sometimes we have drama.

Either day works, depending on everyones schedule. Usually we do clam chowder and oyster stew on the Eve, and big dinner on Christmas Day. This year we have so many kids, grandkids, and other company coming that it will be on Friday at 4:00. We don’t do a lot of food anymore since the Mrs folks are both gone. But one thing the Mrs learned to make is chocolate gravy and biscuits. That is for Christmas day breakfast and tamales and chili for supper. Let’s not forget pumpkin pie with whip cream.

Christmas Eve is the family get together at my brother's house for heavy hor d'oevres, I'm taking escargot.
Late Christmas morning we do a floating brunch here at the house. Fried quail, sausage rolls and Mimosas and people bring other stuff.
Christmas evening will probably be the Wife and I, may do some tamales.

Since the son has to work Christmas Day, we had him and his brood over last Sunday, along with the wife’s side of her family. Had Lockhart sausage from Blacks BBQ, and a whole pork loin. Split the loin, cooked half I. The oven, other half on the smoker. Christmas Eve will take wife to Salt Grass for dinner. No plans for Christmas Day.
