Wanted to try and stretch the legs on the 25 WSSM a bit so I went to my dads stand that has a feeder at about 300 yards. Just before 5pm about 15 pigs came in. I really didn’t want to shoot a big one since I only have one hand to work with after my accident with the last boar, so I singled out a mid size 125ish pound boar and waited for the right shot which never came. I decided if he wasn’t going to give me a good broad side shot I would just go for a head shot which I usually don’t take. Anyway I let one fly and he dropped. The surprise came after I loaded him up. I noticed a wet blood spot on his shoulder that looked like a fresh bullet wound.
