welcome

I'm a fan of deer ribs myself. I like them smoked, or fried.

Take the ribs and put them in one of those Instapots for 30 minutes under pressure. Take them out of the pot and put them under a broiler or on a grill for a few minutes per side covered in whatever BBQ sauce you like to crisp them up.

Y'all can thank me later.

No such thing as a good deer rib. I’ve tried a lot of different ways. I think they are best served raw. That’s the way my bird dogs like them.

Combine equal parts deer ribs and trash can. Profit.

Sorry to ask, it’s Venison, why would they taste bad?
I guess I would have to ask the processor for them if I wanted them.

Clean them up good and season with your favorite seasoning. Put in a pressure cooker on high covered in chicken or beef broth for 30 minutes. Then remove and throw them on the grill to give them a little char. Can baste with your favorite sauce while on the grill and i promise you will have some mighty fine eating. Wife, kids, friends at camp all love them and most think they actually taste better than back strap! Sorry I tossed them for so many years.

Deer ribs have always been a deer camp favorite for my family. I call this the "Jimbo Method" because my brother is the master at cooking them.

Raw rib on pit.

Crisped on grill.

After crisp, slower cooked until done through.
[Linked Image]

Separate individual ribs & put in a pan of sauce.
[Linked Image]

Steam in a foiled sealed pan of bbq sauce & water. (This was started & we went off for the afternoon hunt usually).

Fred Flinstone sized deer ribs at camp! Nothing better or more appropriate!
