So, I haven't eaten there much the past number of years. After they changed what they fry in, it just wasn't the same. I've now been a few times and the original recipe has changed again. It was much more crunchy and a bit too dry for my liking. Apparently, I haven't missed anything by not going. It's a shame because it was one of my favorites back in the day.

Try Gus' Fried Chicken on Magnolia in Ft Worth, it's spicy and oh, so good.

Been a long time since I have dined at one of those fine establishments and no plans on making reservations in the near or far future.

KFC pissed me off 19 years ago…have not been back since last week. Tried their spicy chicken sandwich and it was very mediocre. Popeyes blows it away. Looks like another 19 year hiatus.

KFC for me.

They opened up a new shopping mall near me. It was called the Katy-Fulshear-Center. They had really big KFC signs on several walls. I thought I had died and gone to Heaven. cheers food

KFC has outstanding grilled chicken. I order the bucket and have them cook it fresh, takes about 17 minutes of waiting but fresh out of the cooker is outstanding.

KFC used to sling a very good chicken pot pie IF you could find your local "restaurant" open during business hours AND get an employee to make one.

KFC went the way of the dodo bird up here WAY before the virus because it was so poorly managed.

Pass the gravy.

I love some KFC original but it’s a real crap shoot at any fast food place now with the quality of help working. Chicken Express hasn’t disappointed me…yet.

Ours is starting to slip. Good manager, but the help sucks.

Their employees are always so clean, well dressed, and speak such understandable English.

I used to think Popeyes was the end all chain for fried chicken. Then, it seemed the pieces began getting smaller.
I havent been in our local Popeye's in years, since I pointed out a roach crawling across the floor, and the order taker ignored the roach, and remarked, " I am sorry, what was your order again?"
My preferred chain is Chicken Express.

My grandson and I ate at a Bush's chicken in San Antonio last summer. Pretty good. He said it was like Chicken Express with some seasoning.

Chicken Express has good gravy.
However the last time I ate chicken express, it took the express lane through me...... flush

Like most of the really good food chains, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc are all owned by someone else (YUM Brands). They are not the well managed, brand conscious eating establishments of yesteryear.

I sure miss the Pizza Hut, Pizza Inn sit down restaurants where your pizza was made to order and the quality was amazing.

Sad times we live in.
