My wife got me watching, great show. She sure doesn't take any caca from anyone. That smudged mascara always makes her look like she just got finished doing the big nasty.

We went to watch our first TTU game a few weeks ago and on the way back we drove past the 6666's and it popped up on the show that next weekend. I didn't know what it was, but given they had their own airstrip, figured they were $$$.

You only saw a small piece of the 6666. Hard to wrap my mind around someone who lives in Texas and has never heard of the 6666. And yes, they have plenty of money.

show has gotten completely preposterous.

it started out ok but as someone who has been on earth for more than 15 years and pays attention, the details and storyline are hard to swallow.

They are claiming to build a new park city then they show a rendering of the proposed town......Park City doesent have high rise buildings. It also doesent have a 52 gate airport, or any airport at all for that matter. The Airport is in Salt Lake City. to put it into perspective, San Antonio international is only 24 gates. So this seasonal ski town is going to need an airport that is 32 gates bigger in size than the 7th largest city in the country? Gimme a break.

The land lease was also preposterous. They couldn't take the land thru imminent domain for the airport and even then, leasing the land instead of selling it accomplished the same thing but put less money in their pocket. after the lease is up, they are not going to disassemble the airport and haul it off. Lloyd has worked on the ranch for 40 years yet has to sell his belt buckle to afford a Pawn Shop Guitar? come on. Livestock officials are first responders and Kasey can shoot up a truck in the middle of the road without any repercussions whatsoever, not to mention they are better equipped than the SWAT team in downtown LA. I won't even get started on Rip's character.

Being in the land business and having been around rural life for the better part of 25 years, its hard to watch.

I heard a rumor they're going after the brand and will carve up the ranch after it closes. Sheridan, et al will retain all 6666 naming/branding rights. Ram wants a 6666 pickup truck package to go toe to toe with Ford's King Ranch. So that deal will cash flow the purchase of the ranch several times over, then Sheridan's buyers group makes bigger bank severing and leasing the wind and o&g rights. Then they sell the dirt for 1.x-2 times what they originally bought the ranch for once the Yellowstone fad has played out. Oh, yeah, and they get a tax write off for buying the ranch because it can be used as a movie set and that is a capital expenditure. It's a beautiful plan.

I believe your correct on the branding. I don’t know if they will come out with a Yellowstone edition truck or a 6666 ranch edition truck, but one or the other is coming.

I don’t know any details on the ranch deal besides it’s obviously an investor backed deal ( Sheridan is just the face ) and those deals always have an exit strategy

The "group" is primarily, I think, Teton Ridge....a fellow named Thomas Tull.

He has bought two big cutting horse operations in Weatherford....along with the Silverado Arena in Weatherford. Sheridan and his Bosque Ranch are also a part of Silverado. Teton has been spending big money on cutting and reining horses.....they spent 1.8 million on three 2 year old prospects at the Western Bloodstock Cutting Horse Sale in Fort Worth last week.

They also bought The American...the rodeo held at AT&T Stadium.

It appears they want to be big in all aspects of the show horse business.....cutting, reining, roping, cow horse, and barrel racing.

They very well might have the idea of breaking up the 6666 in mind, but they say they are keeping the breeding operation the same....the 6666 stands over 30 stallions in all disciplines, including racing, in Guthrie. They stand all the King Ranch stallions....and it looked like one of theirs, The Boon, in that scene that Jimmy collected semen on Sunday.

They want to be a dominant figure in the horse business.....and I can see them keeping the 6666 the way it is....albeit selling some of the land.

The show was OK until they started pushing the cutting horse bullsht. How many times can they show a horse skid to a stop. I did hear the rumor that the 6666 ranch was sold this summer when I was on Katz oilfield outside Knox City. Ive lived in Texas for 46 years and never heard of the 6666 until some famous people were seen in Knox City.

All decent shows start off great, then the drama romance starts.

Haven't watched it and won't. Don't care much for TV.

Y’all do know this show is not a documentary? It is for entertainment purposes only.

I think the producer from Yellowstone bought the 6666.

He also acts in Yellowstone.

Taylor Sheridan.

Yeah, I cracked up laughing when Rip threw a rattler in a guy's face & he died in about 1 minute. Still most folks don't know much about such things & the show is entertaining if you don't take it too seriously.

Good show, I call it "SAMCRO on Horseback".

I troll the women on the Yellowstone FB groups by telling them Rip is going to get killed off this season. It works every season, and they get seriously riled up at that thought.
