I have been complaining to my wife about how the deer have disappeared lately. Instead of getting in the blind today I went for a drive in the gator, I saw 3 bucks chasing a small doe on the neighbor's place so I went back to the house, grabbed my gear and headed to the blind just incase knowing that rain was headed our way, I was hoping to get atleast a little time to sit. Well, by the time I almost got to my popup blind there was the 3 bucks and the doe by my feeder. I tried to sneak up but the doe busted me, but for some reason she stomped, raised her tail and came kind of towards me and then off to the neighbors place. The buck wasn't sure whether he should follow her or avoid me and he hesitated for a bit looking at her, I was able to slip into a better position and at about 40-45 yds I made a quick shot as he was starting to move. I hit a bit high and dropped him in his tracks because of a spine hit. I thgank God for a fun little adventure and end of the season finally getting an opportunity to get a decent buck on the ground.
