I’m leaving Wednesday for a week and hoping the rut is fired up. Anybody been around Carrizo Springs , Big Wells area? This is my time to go every year and it’s usually pretty good.

Saw broke off antlers in Duval County last weekend, buck chasing does, and heard bucks fighting hard in the monte.
If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Rattled up three bucks in north Duval Sunday morning between 10 and 10:30 a.m. All three were on the other side of the neighbor's high fence.

Lots of broke tines in South Duval. Seen some fighting but nothing more than sparing, bucks arent best buds but are still hanging around the feeder together. A little chasing, but it seems half hearted, this weekend had a buck that would run after a doe for a sec but would always stop and come back to the corn.

Just finished up a 5 day hunt in Carrizo Springs. Bucks are running the does now. Starting to see evidence of the bucks fighting. You'll be there at the perfect time!
