This deer was shot this weekend. During the field dressing, I noticed the odd, white, fatty nodules embedded along the intestines and the colon. It also seems a handful of large growths as well that had the white substance as the portal for the possible tumors. I sent pictures to a game biologist and he said it was a disease. I have searched the web, high and low, looking for info. Has anyone seen this before? Please provide your thoughts.

Looks like an old deer that hasn’t run lot this fall/winter. I dont find that amount of fat in the omentum To be super abnormal. Some animals (humans included) deposit fat mostly along the outside of the body whereas some deposit more fat inside along their organs, most its a mix. A deer that hasnt burned a ton of calories will be getting ready for winter and depositing fat to stay warm. Am i missing something?
Thank you for your quick reply and I appreciate your feedback.
The deer was aged by using the 4th, 5th and 6th tooth to be 6 1/2 years old, by amateurs. The fourth tooth was all but gone and the 5th and 6th was all but flat on top. The deer was a 8 point with a guess around 115 score and weighed 80 pounds, lightweight.
The other thing I wanted to point out is on the first picture, bottom right corner, it shows around 5 tumor like organs that parasiticly grew off other organs. I don't know.
