wood file if you need to go down, pads if you need to go up. you can have it professionally done, but its pretty pricey and involved bending the stock

Find a fitter and have it done correctly, won't be cheap

You can have Gra-Coil fitted, extending the length will give you more drop

You might try and find Pat Mayse , He works on upper end shotguns. I think he still does the gunsmithing for the Beretta Gallery in Highland Park Village Shopping Center

You could also contact Paxton Arms, Robert Paxton. He deals in fine shotguns too and could send you in a good direction. He's in Richardson Texas

Thanks!

It's a mid-90s model so I'm not sure if it has shims or not. I'll check when I get home.

Thanks Buzz - I may see if I can find contact info for Pat and go from there.

No shims, I don't know of a Citori that has them

Please don't halfa@s this, get it done right the first time. May cost some $$ but afterwards you'll be able to shoot better and will enjoy your shotgun.

No help. I’d just learn to shoot it like it is.

Andrew Macfarlane in southlake has a hot oil machine and he will fit you and then bend the stock to match. First time is pricey as you're paying for the fitting and the bending. After that it's just the bending.

Larry Feeland in Cypress fit a 20 guage citori field gun for me. I’m a lefty and it had right handed cast so there was substantial alterations. We checked his work on a pattern board and tweaked it till it was perfect. It was pricey but money well spent in my instance. It was a little over a two hour drive for me. In light of that, I made an appointment, he did the work while I was there. It ate the whole day but that evening when I got home I had a shotgun that mounted and shoots with the pattern centered up exactly where I am looking. That was around 2016 and nothing has changed. I will say I was already a very experienced shotgunner with a fundamentally sound mount that is set in stone. I mentioned that last bit because Larry is going to assess your mount in the process of fitting your stock.

I had my Citori steam bent by Brilys ( sp) in Houston.

That was around 96’ made a huge difference.

All previous options have addressed the gun...but not you (the shooter).

Have you considered altering your drop by...losing weight...?

In all seriousness...less "meat" on your face = closer face to stock weld = less drop at comb needed to get the proper sight picture.

Sometimes, thinking outside of the box allows you to leave the box behind...

That's not handy at all, the cost of gas alone would buy a new shotgun that would fit

Around how much is the bending? I talked to him and he gave me a quote and it was what I considered astronomical.

I’m overweight but right now I need less drop, not more. Losing weight would only make the problem worse.

My problem might be technique. I have no idea. But I don’t want to spend crazy money only to find out I have to spend more crazy money for the first money to be useful.

If you need less just throw a pad or stock pack on it.

I have had two Citori's fitted by Michael Murphy and Sons and was very happy with their work. They go through some muscle memory drills to see where your natural point of aim falls and then mock up the fit to test out the modifications needed. Then you test fire onto a pattern board to verify. It was worth the drive for me.

Overall it cost a lot less than I expected.

Forgive me for misreading your post...I didn't intend to judge at all...just help.
An easy and inexpensive way to achieve less DAC would be to add moleskin in layers to raise the comb...or alternatively, add Kick-Eez Cheek Pads until the DAC is correct.
