Blank…I did Brunswick stew yesterday too. Mine is a little thinner and a bit more red than yours. I had a buddy from NC make it on a boys fishing trip and a few years later I dug thru some recipes until I found one close. I use Jaime Deen’s as a starting point and manipulate a bit…regardless, delicious!

That looks good as does Blanks. Love some Brunswick stew

Looks like I will be cooking one in January for a group. Small pot NOT.

8 llbs beef
2 lbs pork sausage
10 lbs chicken
10lbs onion
10lbs taters
2 gallons maters
1 gallon peas
1 gallon corn
Then seasoning to my taste.

Down to cooking just one of those a year and get help with all the stirring the pot. In years past would cook at least 3 pots a year and a few years 5 pots. Church gatherings, hunting clubs, American legion... If you had the pot and could cook a good stew you were invited to cook at places with them providing the ingredients. if any was left of course the cook took some home. I have been at cooks where we had 6 pots going like that. Some that were made with Squirrel as the meat deboning those pots was a pain for sure.
