Asking for a friend… While hunting from light till dark if I(he) fell asleep in a deer blind and fell forward and hit my(his) head could it cause a severe injury? Got extra glasses and already got a broke nose so only worried about bad injuries….. Always tied myself in in a tripod but never worried too much about a box blind.

I recommend that if you/he see(s) three shooters the one in the middle is the one to shoot.

Assuming the fall forward was from a chair and you hit the box blind…. The physical nature of that type of fall is very unlikepy to cause any significant injury enough to warrant more than a set of sutures or a bad bruise(d ego). The physics behind fall type i huries causing anything significant would be a further fall than from a chair hitting a box blind wall. Certainly materials can make a difference and the distance of the fall play into things, perhaps more details would help elucidate if more than the ego was harmed

LOL I have a sense of humor and trust me when I say I have no room to talk about hurting yourself in odd situations just not in a box blind yet so that’s one of very few places to give anyone a hard time about lol. On the bright side you didn’t fall out so that’s a win in itself. It might give pause for concern about your elevated platform blinds with no safety net though. I’ve fallen 32’ to the ground and it wasn’t a pleasant experience so take care of yourself buddy… It’s not the fall that gets ya, it’s that sudden stop at the end,,

If sleeping in a box blind was hazardous I would be dead….

Actually, no one fell. I have seriously pondered it several times and with the advent of social media, I sometimes chose to ponder aloud(especially after 7 hours in a blind.)

I almost knocked myself out in a box blind. Was hunting a friend’s blind I had never been in before. He dropped me off before daylight and I climbed in and stood up. I am 6’1”, my buddy about 5’9”. He built the blind to his height, and I hit my head on a 2x4 so hard it split my scalp, even through my cap. I could possibly have been hungover as well, which certainly did not help. Saw stars and broke out in a cold sweat. Had to locate the chair and sit until everything quit spinning. So, to sum it up, it is absolutely possible to injure yourself in a box blind.

My danger is at camp missing a step on the ladder and the skinning tree working with a knife. No falls from a blind yet.
