I thought this fellow had something stuck on his antler but couldn't get a good look until today. The large bulb actually forms a slight cup. Some of the other antler tips show a bit of damage also.

He tipped all if them in velvet. Where ever he was eating at wasn't antler friendly.

Cool pic

Take it out of the gene pool and put it in the pot.

Deervid-19, tell your wife and boss that you have to quarantine at your lease till after season is over to keep it from spreading.

I just came across something interesting. Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease can cause antler problems.

My neighbor found a dead buck in her yard a couple months ago. It had discharge coming from its mouth and nose. That is also a sign of the Hemorrhagic disease. Its caused by an a bite from an insect called a midge.

After looking at more photos of deformation of antlers due to Hemorrhagic Disease I think this was maybe impact with something.

I lean heavily towards the deformity is due to injuring his antlers during velvet,
and since the 4 tips almost appear as though they are flat-ish, as though he ran under a fence and injured the antler tips (during velvet stage).

and great picts!!
