I have an old sledge hammer that belonged to my grandfather. My son borrowed it and proceeded to break the handle. Where can I get another handle? I'm pretty sure I can fit the new one myself thanks to You Tube videos.

Any hardware store should have replacement handles for almost every tool that needs one.

weld a piece of scd 80 to it and fill it with sand. Yep. I think I am down to one sledge that actually has a wooden handle. All the rest are welded pipe. Then I spray paint them very bright and obnoxious colors so they never get lost. When my 3 and 5 year old boys get near my tools they at times grown legs....
