What is best DFW area shop that can set up the trust and do everything for you?

Start at Silencer Shop Find a Silencer Shop kiosk in your area for your fingerprints. The kiosk will usually be in an FFL dealers shop. You can have your suppressor sent there if convenient. Buy a trust along with your suppressor and tax stamp directly from Silence Shop. After they have your fingerprints on file you will not need to go to the kiosk again. You will need to send in an updated picture periodically when buying more suppressors.

Ham'r Time isn't wrong and that's not a bad way to go at all.

Rifle Gear is a good place to look and I had zero issues on the one I bought from them. I don't know if they do trusts because I used an existing one versus a new one.

go through the silencer shop..

don't order one from a dealer who doesn't have it in stock unless you REALLY want to wait a long time

Silencer shop is out of the harvester 300

I called silencerco and asked who was easy to work with that had one in stock and they recommended capitol armory. I went with them and the order is placed.

In 9-12 months, you will have a life changing event. Suppressors are a game changer. I need to get a 22 rimfire going.

Absolutely. It's a no brainer, too easy.

I was going to suggest Capitol Armory but figured you didn't want to drive that far.

They'll ship to home for like $12

I just purchased through Silencercentral.com

They handle all the paperwork, including setting up a trust for free. They will mail you a fingerprint kit so you can take your own prints and mail them back to them. They also took the total price (silencer, tax stamp, sales tax) and broke it up into 6 payments, where they charge my credit card each month for 6 months. After everything is approved they will ship the suppressor to your home for free.

One month down, 10-11 more to go!

After putting it off for years, I finally did it.. Reading this thread gave me the surge to finally move forward. I finally got the process in motion today. Ordered through silencer shop this morning and completed kiosk process after lunch. In the meantime, I can ponder what rifle this Nomad LT will pair best with...lol

I did the same yesterday, but with Silencercentral.com mentioned above. Stopped off today at my local gun store today to start shopping for a 300 BO.

I'm in the game!

Everything goes to their portal except the fingerprints get mailed in. Not sure on exactly what that means for wait times. The form 4 they said they are going to send via doc-u-sign (eform). But I don't know how they submit to ATF. This is capitol armory, not silencershop

You can’t go wrong with Silencerco products. I have the Omega, Octane, and Spectre. All work great and quality is superior. I tell anyone interested that they’re already late to the party. Don’t procrastinate if you can help it.

I blame the THF…………. I am now “in the game” as well after saying for years I never needed/wanted one. Started the Silencer Shop/Kiosk process online but my local vendor had one of the two already in stock and was able to order the other. Always prefer local when possible. With my kids shooting/hunting more, this will make outings that much more pleasant. Come on ATF e-forms. Let’s not make this a 6-8 month long process.

Damn sure don’t go to Scheels if you don’t have your trust with you. Bought a suppressor there yesterday, paid for it, and the stamp, then the guy says we can start the paperwork once we have your trust. I stared at him like a cow looking at a new gate. Turns out they don’t have a Silencer Shop kiosk like I thought they did bang

Of course there are no refunds on NFA items even though it’s not in my possession, so I have to drive back up there and present my trust rolleyes

Silencershop makes things easy as mentioned above, and I have used Defender outdoors for a few, and I have some pending up at Bauer Precision in Denton.

Capitol Armory is worth the drive/shipping cost, great to deal with as well.

If you even think you may be doing more than 1, and are willing to commit to Silencershop's process, the single shot lifetime is well worth it. You do a separate trust for each can, and modify each as needed with the included paperwork to add another party if you ever need to. Post 41F, the single shots are a pretty pain-free and simple way to get them purchased if you have more than one person that needs to have access. Otherwise, the co-trustee/wife just has to make it to the kiosk for prints, and keep an updated photo in their app/system.

Hopefully one day they will start handling F1s again to keep things just as simple across the board.
