Looking for some experience/opinion about Athlon binoculars. I’m interested in the Cronus G2. Thanks in advance.

For a little more I’d go with tract toric. I’m sure the athlons are pretty good as I have their btr scope, but under $1000 the tract toric is quality

I just upgraded to the Cronus G2 binoculars and love them. I had been using some older Nikon Monarchs and the Athlons are better in low light and image quality is slightly better, IMHO. I got them from CameraLandNY and they were great to deal with and shipping was free and super quick.

Considering the Athlon Cronus and Tract Toric scopes are both made in the same factory, I'd bet their bino's are too. I'd be surprised if there's any difference in the optic quality.

Just like everyone saying "It's got Schott glass", Schott produces many different grades of lenses, not everyone orders the top tier stuff for their specs.

I was recommended a bino I have. I also have the older Japan made Vipers and Meopta Meopros. I like the Torics the best. Can’t compare them to Athlon as I don’t have that model. I was just making a recommendation to the OP.

Looking at both I’ll would take the Tract. I really like their upper end stuff except I don’t want a gray scope

Doug, what is your opinion on Cronus vs Tract binoculars? Also, is there any difference between the Cronus and Cronus g2?

Good afternoon, I have never seen a Tract anything so I cannot give an opinion. The Cronus are excellent, that i can say. The G2 is a cosmetic, not an optical, difference
