Anyone here a member? They have rifle to 500, pistol, rimfire, and archery ranges. Just looking for some feedback, it’s in Eustace Tx.

I have a friend that retired and bought a place near Malakoff. He joined it and likes it a lot.

We have a place next to it. I don't know any members personally though.

I joined and will be going out today for orientation. I’ll give some feedback after that.

Steve, the guy that runs it, its a nice guy and very gun knowledgeable. It felt too public range to me. Keep in mind the few times I shot there were weekends and evenings where you’d have peak participation. Nice place and they have (or did) quite a bit of steel at 500y.

Good luck, you’ll enjoy it if you don’t have private places you can shoot. I’m blessed, no doubt!

They canceled because of rain. Thank you for the information. Judd I’m often off during the week, so I’m likely to be there when there’s less traffic. A guy I shoot with lives 10 minutes from there and we work the same schedule so hopefully I will be able to get out at least twice a month. That’s a big step up for me. I need the practice.

If you live in Mineola you might stop by Buffalo Creek Gun Club on hwy 64 near Edom. Rifle, pistol, trap, skeet, 5 stand. Lot closer for you.

I’m thinking their range is only 200 yards. The 500 yard range is why I chose Big Rock.

Make sure you hit that range the day before heading to Valley View!

That’s the goal. Valley View has been the only serious shooting I’ve done in years. No practice in between matches.

Match at a private range. 500 yards on steel. Head to head competition. Good fun for me, some are serious, some not so much. All are safe.

500 yards? I would have to buy something else if I were invited.

Senior posts the schedules on here and just sign up. He has not finalized schedules for next year. They are great matches with a lot of good people.

Steve passed from Covid about 2 months ago. I was a member when I lived between Canton and Mabank. There was never more than 4-5 people on the rifle range and it was usually 2 maybe 3 anytime I was out there.
