We have family in for Thanksgiving and thr going to attempt to take out some culls this week, we started off this morning with a 21” 8 point and thr trailing another big 8 through the swamp right now. The deer are rutting hard up here again so they should be laying them down this week. My only concern is the piss poor shooting skills these city slickers have The doe this one was shot off of had 7 bucks in tow with my primary target 13 pointer the first one on her but I opted to let my cousin shoot the second one which was the wide 8. I may live to regret that decision but the smile on his face was worth it.



On a side note I ran over a 6 point and killed him going in to hunt this morning as well so I guess I did get a kill today as well

Another one down this morning, never recovered the second one from yesterday. The picture won’t upload today for some reason but it was a 8 point that’s been missing a brow tine for 2 years.

Just had another 9 taken down, this was a really pretty deer we’ve watched for a while. He had a brother killed last year and they look like identical twins. Pretty amazing

Not the slightest clue how that works, he was still on the side of the road when we drove off with striping paint on his antlers. Pretty little deer though. Wife said he was still thr when she drove by a couple hours later but he was gone by 11 so someone snatched him up.

Word is one of them screwed up and shot a 12 point by mistake this morning when they only had the green light for anything 9 points or less. Time will tell what it is but Im about to start drinking before they get here. I got second hand info that it’s a hell of a buck so someone is about to have some explaining to do. This has been the first time I’ve let them have free range of the place without a baby sitter so I expected some turd head to screw up. The shooter turned his phone off I’m assuming to come up with a great story or he’s looking for a way to get back to SC without coming by the house.
