Squid.. Went out to dinner and gave it a try. It was breaded and deep fried just like shrimp. It was delicious. Might have had it when I was in the Cayman Islands. Thoughts.

Fried calamari is a great appetizer! Absolutely delicious when dipped in a good marinara sauce.

In a world full of shrimp, I can't figure out why anyone would eat squid.

Those on here not having a refined palette like those of us that do cannot appreciate the flavor and texture of fried calamari.

Good stuff

Tell your daughter that in the 1960's there was a small cafe, near the Tower of Gold in Sevilla on the río Guadalquivir that served the best calamari and chips. I don't remember the name of the place, but they served the food on newspaper but it was great.

I have had it where it was the rubber bands more often than done correctly. I agree if done right, it is pretty good. That said, fish or shrimp is my go to meal.

Why eat fish bait?

That logic can be applied to almost every species of fish that swims in the oceans. It would also apply to shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and oysters.

I'd eat it.
